One of the good parts of being an Erasmus student, is having a lot of spare time (A LOT) to enjoy and explore the country. And that’s how, on a Sunday, I decided to hop on a train and leave Newcastle for Durham, which is about 25km from Newcastle.

It is such a perfect day. The sun is shinning, the blue sky and the autumn colours make an incredible landscape. The Cathedral and the castle are amazing but look almost invisible, lost in all the yellow and green colours. I feel like in a painting, walking along the river Wear. There are few people, I can breath !
